Canada-Alberta Job Grant for Learning and Development

We are pleased to pass along an outstanding opportunity for Alberta not-for-profits and corporations which can subsidize up to 2/3 of costs for applicable leadership development programming - up to $10,000 per individual, and up to $300,000 per organization per year. Funding support for Indigenous programs

Funding support may be available for Indigenous or non-Indigenous Canadians who are employees or members of Indigenous  nations, councils, enterprises, or institutions within Canada.  You will be asked to complete a simple funding request at application. 
 

Indigenous Woman’s Achievement in Community Leadership Award

This award is open to those who identify as an Indigenous woman, and have completed at least one Indigenous Leadership program in the past. Past recipients of this award are ineligible to apply again. This award will cover tuition, meals and accommodation to attend any Indigenous Leadership program from May 2023 through to March 2024, pending registration completion and program availability.

Funding support for non-profit leaders

A variety of scholarships are available for non-profit leaders with registered Canadian charities thanks to the generous support of anonymous donors and from The Banff Centre endowments. These supporters recognize the important role that social benefit  organizations play in our communities.

Chevron Canada Limited Scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of Chevron Canada Limited, the Peter Lougheed Leadership Institute is pleased to offer scholarship support to assist leaders from not-for-profit organizations to attend programs at The Banff Centre, in order to build leadership capacity in themselves, their organizations and for the benefit of the communities they serve. Scholarships are awarded throughout the year for not-for-profit leaders currently residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon, and Newfoundland and Labrador. The scholarship's value will depend on the final program selection and will cover the tuition, meals, accommodation and related taxes for a week-long program. Travel costs remain the responsibility of the participant.
 

EPCOR Scholarship Endowment

Thanks to the generosity of EPCOR, the Peter Lougheed Leadership Institute has established the Scholarship Endowment for Not-for-Profit Leaders. This will assist leaders from not-for-profit organizations to attend programs at The Institute in order to build leadership capacity in themselves, their organizations and for the benefit of the communities they serve. Your not-for-profit organization should be located in Alberta and / or British Columbia with a preference being given for those located in EPCOR's operating area. To be eligible for this funding you must be an employee of a non-profit organization or a registered charity.

PricewaterhouseCoopers Scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Peter Lougheed Leadership Institute is pleased to offer funding for participants from Canadian non-profit organizations who wish to attend a program at The Banff Centre The goal of these scholarships is to accelerate the careers and professional ambitions of leaders in the not-for-profit sector by offering unparalleled opportunities for them to gain access to world-class mentoring and learning, networks, and a creative working environment in which to build solutions to their most pressing challenges. These scholarships are for emerging or established leaders to pursue career-enhancing professional development through Banff Centre programs. To be eligible for this funding you must be an employee of a non-profit organization or a registered charity.

Canadian Museums Association (CMA) Bursaries

Bursaries are available for Canadian museum professionals to partially assist in costs for leadership development programs at The Banff Centre. Application must be made prior to attendance; however, bursaries are payable at the conclusion of the program. For details, visit their website.
